Man arrested for aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
A 28-year Rome man is accused of shooting into an occupied home on Martha Berry Highway back on March 24.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
There were five people in the home at the time.
Andrew Kyle Parris was arrested Monday on charges of aggravated assault, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
The report states that Parris was in possession of a Savage Axis .270 Winchester at the time of his arrest at his Cypress Street residence.
Inmate accused of damaging property
An inmate at the Floyd County Jail has been charged with felony counts of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property and interference with government property.
According to jail records:
63-year-old Nathan Ernest Thompson damaged a video visit panel.
He also flooded his cell, damaging a mattress.
Thompson has been in jail since his arrest in January on charges of aggravated stalking and simple assault.
Cave Spring man charged with being a fugitive from justice, obstruction
A man accused of running from Cave Spring Police back in September was arrested on Monday.
According to the arrest warrant:
43-year-old Randy Sylvester Siniard of Cave Spring fled on foot because he was wanted on a warrant for a probation violation.
He ran into a wooded area and was able to get away despite a K9 search of the area.
Siniard is charged with obstruction of law enforcement, a probation violation, and a fugitive from justice.
He is also being held for authorities in Cherokee County, Alabama on unspecified charges.
Report: Woman damaged motorcycle, found to be wanted in Tennessee
A woman accused of damaging a motorcycle is also facing a felony fugitive from justice charge.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
44-year-old Brandie Nicole Golden knocked someone else’s motorcycle over, causing more than $250 in damage.
It was also discovered that Golden had an active warrant for her arrest in Chattanooga.
Rome man charged with drug possession
A Rome woman was arrested on drug charges at a location on Flora Avenue Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
21-year-old Molly Lynn Rucker was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine and an unlabeled pill bottle containing suspected buspirone hydrochloride, which is an anxiety medication.
She is charged with possession of meth and possession of drugs not in the original container.
