Alabama wreck claims the life of a Cedar Bluff woman

A 50-year-old Cedar Bluff, Alabama woman died Friday in a single-vehicle crash in Cherokee County Friday morning.

The wreck occurred at around 9:07 a.m. on Highway 273 near Cherokee County Road 110 north of Leesburg when a 2013 Nissan Frontier left the roadway, struck a culvert, overturned, and struck an embankment. 

Candice S. Inman, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was fatally injured.

The driver, 52-year-old David A. Inman, also f Cedar Bluff, was injured and transported to Atrium Heath Floyd Medical Center in Rome. 

Neither was wearing a seatbelt.

The wreck is under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division.
