Report: Man pointed loaded gun at police
A 38-year-old Rome man is accused of pointing a loaded firearm at police officers during an incident at his Flora Avenue home on August 8.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Timothy Williams Tillery also told the officers he was going to beat them up and waved the gun in the direction of other people, while under the influence of alcohol.
Tillery is charged with two counts of aggravated assault as well as single counts of terroristic threats and acts, and reckless conduct.
Two accused of taking cell phone and wallet from vehicle
Two men have been arrested on felony warrants charging them with entering an automobile.
According to the warrants:
35-year-old James Floyd Simpson of Rome and 41-year-old Walter Jefferson Simpson Jr. reached into a Chevy Camaro parked at a location on Redmond Circle and took a woman’s wallet and cell phone.
The incident occurred on August 11.
Man charged with theft by conversion
A Rockmart man is accused of receiving money to build a house on Harmony Road in Silver Creek but never completing the work.
According to the arrest warrant:
39-year-old Andrew Ryan Earwood was paid at least $100,000 and began the job, but never finished it.
In addition, Earwood was obligated to pay the subcontractors for other jobs around the residence but failed to do so, resulting in the victim having a lien placed on the property.
Earwood is charged with theft by conversion.
Woman charged with conspiracy to commit a felony
A Rome woman has been arrested on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and use of a communications facility to commit a crime involving controlled substances.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
29-year-old Terika Shante Mostella used a cell phone back on November 20 to set up a drug deal involving the distribution of marijuana.
