Report: Man fled from police on two different occasions
A Lindale man is accused of fleeing from law enforcement….Twice.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
On July 26, 28-year-old Dustin Warren Ballard led police on a chase in the area of Glen Milner Boulevard and Second Avenue, driving his vehicle down railroad tracks, a walking trail, and through the yards of residences.
Then on August 17, as authorities were trying to arrest Ballard on felony warrants, he led police on another chase and drove for several miles before stopping at an address on Booze Mountain Road and fleeing on foot.
Ballard, who has been in jail since Monday of this week after being arrested for stealing a Range Rover back on July 23, is now additionally charged with felony and misdemeanor fleeing or attempting to elude, obstruction of officers, reckless driving, and driving without a license.
Two charged with felony shoplifting
Two Rome men were arrested at Lowe’s on Shorter Avenue Wednesday on felony theft by shoplifting charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
50-year-old Tony Lemont Monroe Sr. and 62-year-old Marshall Joseph Alexandria Jr. stole a Craftsman 6,000-watt generator valued at $799.
Monroe and Alexandria are also both being held on probation violations.
Plainville man charged with meth possession
A Plainville man was arrested on drug charges after he was seen running down Plainville Road at Legg Road Wednesday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
32-year-old Steven James Kilpatrick Jr. admitted to having a meth pipe in a bandana and also admitted to having methamphetamine in his wallet.
The officer was en route to a burglary call in the area when he saw Kilpatrick running down the road.
