Rome woman killed in Chattooga County wreck

A Rome woman was killed in a wreck Saturday on Highway 27 near Gore-Subligna Road in Chattooga County. 

According to the Georgia State Patrol: 

A 2010 Hyundai Tucson driven by 42-year-old Jillian Durgin pulled out of a gas station lot and into the path of a 2017 Freightliner commercial vehicle. 

The Freightliner struck the Hyundai on the left side and both vehicles continued off the roadway and into a ditch. 

The Freightliner overturned, striking another commercial vehicle in a private lot. 

Durgin was pronounced dead at the scene.
