A woman was killed in a three-vehicle wreck Wednesday in Bartow County.

According to the Georgia State Patrol:

The crash occurred on Burnt Hickory Road near Tate Way when a GMC Sierra steered left to avoid rear-ending a Toyota Corolla which had stopped while attempting to turn into a driveway.

The Sierra struck the left rear of the Corolla and then struck a Kia Forte head-on.

The driver of the Kia, 35-year-old Amber Pitner from Cartersville, died from her injuries at the hospital.

A toddler riding in a car seat in the Toyota was airlifted to Scottish Rite Hospital in Atlanta.
