A Floyd County Police Department vehicle was involved in a three-vehicle accident in Adairsville Thursday.
According to the Georgia State Patrol:
A marked Floyd County Police Ford Explorer traveling north on Highway 41 was attempting to turn left onto Highway 140, failed to yield, and was struck by a Ford F250 which was traveling south.
Following the initial impact, the F250 continued traveling south, striking the left side of the Ford F150 that was stopped in the right eastbound lane of Highway 140 at its intersection with Highway 41.
The drivers of the police vehicle and the F150 sustained minor injuries.
