The second week of in-person advance voting starts Monday with a second voting location opening up.
You will be able to cast ballots at the Rome Civic Center on Jackson Hill, as well as at the Floyd County Elections office on East 12th Street between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.
You will also be able to vote this coming Saturday from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and this Sunday from 1 until 5 p.m. at the elections office.
City of Rome voters are deciding six seats on the Rome City Commission.
In Ward One, incumbents Jim Bojo, Mark Cochran, and Sundai Stevenson are running along with businessman Harry Brock and community activist Charles Love.
In Ward Three, the candidates are incumbents Bonny Askew, Bill Collins, and Craig McDaniel, along with local developer Wayne Robinson.
The top three vote-getters in each ward are elected. Meanwhile, voters in the city and county will be casting ballots in a special purpose, local option sales tax referendum.
The extension of the extra penny sales tax would go to fund a number of projects.
The duration of the SPLOST would be expanded from five years to six, with the sixth year being dedicated to transportation projects.
