Tuesday night downtown Rome lit up with joy as large crowds flocked together to kick off the local holiday season with the 2023 Rome Christmas parade.

Broadstreet transformed into a winter wonderland radiating with the theme, “CHRIST-mas – It’s a Wonderful Life.”

This year’s parade, organized by the Rome Christmas Parade committee, named Jan Fergerson as the grand marshal, and also boasted a record-breaking 154 entries.

As one of the oldest and largest parades in Northwest Georgia, Rome’s annual Christmas parade has been a cherished tradition for over 62 years, weaving its way into the hearts of generations…
