A new redistricting map proposed by Republicans in the Georgia State Senate would shift the boundaries for some congressional districts, including the 14th.

The change would see the 14th lose southwestern Cobb County but gain northwestern Cobb County.

The seat is currently held by Marjorie Taylor Greene.

A special session of the Georgia General Assembly began on November 29 to revisit the state’s redistricting maps, as ordered by a federal judge.

In October, US District Judge Steve Jones ruled the current maps discriminated against Black voters and ordered the state to draw Black majorities in one additional congressional district, two additional state senate districts, and five additional state house districts.
