A Rome woman has been charged in a wreck that claimed the life of a motorcyclist on December 6 on Martha Berry Highway south of the Armuchee Connector.
According to an arrest warrant:
A 2016 Jeep Compass was in the turn lane and the driver, 60-year-old Kathleen Durkacs Wilson, was attempting to turn into Jack’s when she pulled into the path of a 2016 Yamaha FZ07.
The motorcycle struck the Jeep.
19-year-old Daniel Isaac Eddy, who was on the motorcycle, later died from his injuries.
Wilson is charged with 2nd-degree vehicular homicide and failure to yield while turning left.
