The Rome Downtown Development Authority held its annual awards ceremony on Friday.

The DDA awards celebrate the dedication, hard work, and spirit of downtown volunteers, partners, and friends.

This year’s winners were:

Quality of Life Award – Rome International Film Festival

The Golden Nail Award – Wayne Robinson & Game of Throwns

Volunteer of the Year Award – Nedra Manners

Economic Partnership Award – Schroeders New Deli

Business Expansion Award –  Trendy Teachers, LLC & RAD Toys.

Downtown Champion – Mr. William “Hawk” Spivey.

New Kid on The Block – Alibi Prohibition & Combat Market

Milestone Award – Ira & Libby Levy

Creative Marketing Award – Blush Salon & Blowdry Bar

Community Partner – Rome-Floyd Chamber of Commerce

Bill Fricks Award – Elaine Abercrombie.

The DDA also recognized a few more businesses for their RoFlo, First Fridays, Fiddlin’ Fest, and Loft Tours sponsorships.

They included Giggity’s, Hampton Inn and Suites, River City Bank, and  First National Community Bank.
