Two accused of traveling to Floyd County for sex acts with a ‘minor’
Two more men have been arrested after allegedly driving to Floyd County to meet someone whom they believed to be a minor for sex.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
38-year-old Rony Alexander Turcios-Henandez traveled from his home in Cleveland, Tennessee after engaging in a graphic online conversation and sending lewd photos to a person he believed to be under the age of 16.
He is charged with criminal attempt to commit aggravated child molestation, electronic enticement of a child, obscene internet contact with a child, and sexual exploitation of children.
Meanwhile, 28-year-old Adam Wade Aloi drove to Floyd County from his residence in Marietta to meet the “minor” for sex.
Aloi is charged with criminal attempt to commit child molestation, electronic enticement of a child, and obscene internet contact with a child.
Report: Man fled from police, admitted to drinking
A Rockmart man is accused of fleeing from Floyd County Police in the area of Highway 101 Thursday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
44-year-old Mark Steven Harris of a Carter Mountain Road address took off after an officer attempted a traffic stop for a blown headlight.
Harris failed to maintain his lane, reaching speeds of over 100 miles per hour and almost striking two vehicles head-on.
After he was stopped, Harris admitted he had been drinking.
He is charged with a felony count of fleeing or attempting to elude, and misdemeanor counts of no headlight, failure to maintain a lane, too fast for conditions, no seat belt, distracted driving, obstruction of officers, improper passing, suspended license, reckless driving, and DUI.
Man charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute
A 44-year-old homeless man was recently jailed on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of meth with the intent to distribute.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Donald Jay Gamel was found with several baggies of meth, packaging materials, and two firearms at a location on Georgia Loop One at Turner Chapel Road.
Gamel was additionally charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of drug-related objects, and a probation violation.

A traffic stop ends with the arrest of a Riverdale man on Highway 411 at Norton Road.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
A vehicle driven by 43-year-old Jamil Ola Leeper was stopped for going 83 in a 65-mile-per-hour zone.
Leeper told police he was a convicted felon and had a firearm and marijuana.
He is charged with speeding, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
Warrant: Man had contraband while on work detail at recycling center in 2021
A former Floyd County Prison inmate has been charged in connection with an incident dating back to May of 2021.
According to the arrest warrant:
43-year-old Adrian Ryan Lehsten was found in possession of a cell phone, three suspected oxycodone pills, 3.3 grams of methamphetamine, 9.4 grams of tobacco, and three sheets of thick stock paper that had been sprayed with suspected liquefied narcotics while on a work detail at the Rome-Floyd County Recycling Center.
Lehsten ran into the restroom and resisted control in an attempt to discard the items.
It is believed the cell phone was used to obtain the contraband and to manage money transfers from the sale of the items.
Lehsten is charged with possession of items prohibited for inmates, obstruction, and possession of drugs within 1,000 feet of a school.
