Railroad crossing on Alabama Highway will be closed Monday

If you are going to be traveling in the Coosa area on Monday, be aware that Alabama Highway will be closed at the railroad tracks between Woods Road and Barker Road.

According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, the closure will allow crews to make repairs to the tracks.

The crossing is expected to be closed between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday.

A detour will be set up along the route.

Alternate routes include the Southwest Bypass, Huffaker Road, Burnett Ferry Road, and Horseleg Creek Road, both with access from the bypass.
