Two arrested in drug bust in North Rome
Two people were arrested during the execution of a search warrant at a home on Watters Street in North Rome early Friday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
40-year old Jonathan Benjamin Whatley and 33-year-old Crystal Ann Cron had over 28 grams of methamphetamine, cocaine, a felony amount of marijuana, packaging materials, and digital scales.
Both are charged with possession and trafficking of methamphetamine, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of cocaine, possession of over an ounce of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of drug-related objects.
Whatley was also arrested on warrants charging him with fleeing or attempting to elude, reckless driving, improper passing, and running a stop sign in connection with an incident in October of last year.
According to the warrants:
Whatley failed to pull over during an attempted traffic stop.
He accelerated and made several turns at a high rate of speed through North Rome in an attempt to lose the officer.
Woman facing drug charges
A Rome woman was arrested on drug charges during a traffic stop on North First Street at Avenue C in Lindale Thursday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
31-year-old Sabra Daphine Lindsey had multiple bags of suspected methamphetamine and scales.
She is charged with possession of meth, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, possession of drug-related objects, driving with a suspended or revoked license, and a windshield violation.
Report: Marijuana and a shotgun found during execution of a search warrant
The execution of a search warrant at a home on Linden Street off Maple Road ended with the arrest of a 71-year-old man on felony drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Ronald Arnold was taken into custody after over an ounce of individually packaged marijuana and a shotgun was found in his bedroom.
Arnold is charged with possession of marijuana, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.
Woman accused of selling someone else’s vehicle without permission
A West Rome woman has been arrested on a felony warrant charging her with theft by deception.
According to the warrant:
Stephenia Paige Rhinehart sold a vehicle online without the permission of the owner back in January.
Rhinehart received $4,500 from a Florida woman for the vehicle.
