A South Rome man has been arrested in connection to an assault and a home invasion that both occurred last year.
According to the arrest warrants:
23-year-old Chancellor Lamar Crawford shot at a man on Reservoir Street back on March 7, 2023.
On November 18, Crawford entered an apartment on Smith Street with one or more other people armed with a gun and took a purse containing approximately $4,000 in cash.
The victim in that case is a disabled adult, according to jail records.
Then during a traffic stop on Wednesday on Newland Street, Crawford got out of the vehicle and attempted to run, but was caught after running about 75 yards.
He is charged with aggravated assault, armed robbery, 1st-degree burglary, 1st-degree home invasion, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and misdemeanor obstruction of law enforcement.
Crawford is the second person on the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office’s “Most Wanted” list to be captured this week.
On Tuesday, 32-year-old Dorian Johnson, who was wanted on multiple charges including kidnapping, was taken into custody.
With the arrests of Crawford and Johnson, two new names have been added to the most wanted list.
