Man charged with aggravated assault, felony obstruction
A Silver Creek man was arrested over the weekend at his Jack Street residence after he allegedly pointed a knife at a family member.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
31-year-old Jarred Kyle Graham presented the knife to prevent the family member from entering the home.
He also resisted officers and refused orders to drop the knife.
Graham is charged with aggravated assault and two counts of felony obstruction.
Man charged in assault with a vehicle
A 34-year-old West Rome man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with aggravated assault.
According to the warrant:
Stevelle Lavelle Henderson intentionally crashed his vehicle on the passenger side where the victim was sitting.
The incident occurred in October at a location on West Butler Street.
Henderson also damaged a mailbox when he crashed into it.
He is also charged with criminal trespass with damage to property, reckless driving, duty upon striking a fixed object and a number of other traffic violations.
During his arrest on Friday, Henderson resisted, resulting in an additional charge of obstruction.
Report: Man caused crash Sunday
A Rome man is accused of using his vehicle as a weapon against a woman in North Rome Sunday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
39-year-old Kewon Damonion Hutchinson followed and chased after the victim.
He then used his vehicle offensively by running into the vehicle the victim was in multiple times, causing it to wreck.
Hutchinson is charged with aggravated assault, stalking, aggressive driving, following too closely, and reckless driving.
Man charged in January assault
A West Rome man has been arrested in the assault of a woman that occurred back in January at his Burnett Ferry Road home.
According to an arrest warrant:
29-year-old Fernando Willie Mills III put his hands around the victim’s neck, making it difficult for her to breathe.
Mills allegedly kicked the woman in the head and hit her on the back while she was on the ground.
He also damaged a PlayStation 5 by throwing it to the ground and hung up the woman’s cell phone as she tried to call for help, according to the reports.
Mills is charged with aggravated assault, simple battery, obstructing a person from making a 911 call, and criminal trespass with damage to property.
Report: Man put woman in chokehold
A 37-year-old Rome man is facing an aggravated assault charge after allegedly putting a woman in a chokehold at his West Big Indian Trail residence.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
The victim had visible marks and scratches on her neck.
Joshua Cleo Mize is additionally charged with battery.
Teen accused of fleeing from police
A Kingston teen is accused of leading police on a chase Sunday in the area of Highway 411 and the connector.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
17-year-old Kendall Sebastian Smith is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, speeding, driving on the wrong side of the road, passing in a no-passing zone, reckless driving, failure to maintain a lane, running a stop sign, running a red light, and driving too fast for conditions.
Smith is also charged with theft by shoplifting for allegedly concealing grocery items in his pants and pockets at the East Rome Walmart and leaving the store without paying.
Report: Man tied to avoid road check
A West Rome man is accused of avoiding a road check and then fleeing from Georgia State Troopers Friday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
47-year-old Joey Wayne Roberts was taken into custody in the area of East 14th Street and Crane Street.
He is charged with fleeing or attempting to elude, DUI, speeding, failure to maintain a lane, running a stop sign, failure to use a turn signal, and driving with a suspended or revoked license.
Teen accused of taking, damaging vehicle
A homeless teen is facing charges of theft by taking, and 1st-degree criminal damage to property following his arrest over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
19-year-old Noah Eugene Ousley admitted to taking a vehicle, valued at $6,000, from a parking lot.
There was new damage to the vehicle and the sub was missing.
Ousely is also charged with driving out of license class.
