Report: Man threatened woman with a box cutter

A Rome man has been arrested in connection with an assault on Watson Drive off Cave Spring Road.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Charles Nathan Ingram slashed a box cutter at the victim and threatened to kill her.

He then punched the woman and bit her finger.

Ingram is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, and battery.

He is also charged with theft by taking for allegedly stealing a vehicle, valued at $7,000, from a location on Kingston Highway on Sunday.

Man accused of using chokehold to keep victim from leaving residence

A West Rome man is facing two counts of false imprisonment following an incident Sunday at his Burnett Ferry Road residence.

According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant:

42-year-old Franklin Shaun Jackson seized the victim by a chokehold, preventing the victim from fleeing or getting away.

He also left a visible wound on the victim’s neck, resulting in an additional charge of battery.
