Man accused of engaging in a graphic online conversation with a child

A 50-year-old West Rome man was recently arrested on a felony warrant charging him with obscene internet contact with a child.

According to the warrant:

Randy Eugene Watkins contacted someone he thought was a child via social media and then engaged in a sexually explicit conversation.

The incident occurred on May 15.

Watkins was arrested Thursday at his apartment of Tamassee Lane.

Man charged with terroristic threats, battery

A Garden Lakes man was arrested Thursday after he allegedly threatened to kill at a woman at his apartment on Garden Lakes Boulevard.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

29-year-old Rafael Campos-Fuentes also punched the victim in the face, causing visible injuries.

He is charged with terroristc threats and acts, and battery.
