Report: Woman conspired with another to shoplift

A South Rome woman was jailed Sunday on charges of conspiracy to commit a felony and felony theft by shoplifting.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

54-year-old Wileen Angela Johnson was caught on video, distracting the cashier at Aldi on Turner McCall Boulevard while her friend left the store with $545 worth of food.

Johnson then went to the vehicle to help and leave without paying.

Man accused of holding a knife toward another man

A West Rome man was arrested Monday evening following an incident at his mobile home on Burnett Ferry Road.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

61-year-old Mark Edgar Alexander held a knife toward another man.

Alexander is charged with simple assault, terroristic threats and acts, and public drunkenness.

Man charged with meth possession

A 53-year-old Rome man was arrested early Tuesday for possession of methamphetamine.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Mack Arthur Ray was a passenger in a vehicle stopped for a tag light violation on Shorter Avenue.

After a positive K9 indication, meth was located in Ray’s pocket.

He also had an active probation warrant.
