Woman accused of breaking into storage unit twice

A 65-year-old Summerville woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail Wednesday on felony warrants charging her with two counts of 2nd-degree burglary and theft by taking.

According to the warrants:

On May 9, Rita Carol Ledbetter entered a storage unit on Walenda Drive by cutting the lock.

She then took several items and replaced the lock she had cut with one of her own.

Then on May 10, she entered the same unit again, taking several more items, and placing them in her SUV.

The total value of the stolen items was listed at $2,666.96.

Warrant: Woman burglarized home in attempt to steal painkillers

A 40-year-old Lindale woman was jailed Thursday on a felony warrant charging her with 1st-degree burglary.

According to the warrant:

Aubrey Leigh Tucker entered a home on East Eighth Street in Rome with the intent to steal 38 oxycodone pills.

The incident occurred on May 9, according to the warrant.

Man charged with meth possession

A Celanese man was arrested Wednesday on drug charges.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

39-year-old Randolph Nathaniel Crocker was found with methamphetamine and a glass smoking device.

He is charged with possession of meth and possession of drug-related objects.
