Man charged in assault at prison that occurred last year
A Clarksville, Tennessee man is accused of being involved in an assault at the Floyd County Prison on September 18 of last year.
According to an arrest warrant:
An inmate was knocked to the floor after a verbal altercation with at least three other inmates turned physical.
As the inmate who was knocked to the floor was holding onto a table to keep from being dragged into the living area, 31-year-old Brandon Andrew Hunt is seen prying the man’s hands from the table legs.
Once the man was dragged into the living area, Hunt began kicking and stomping him.
Once the assault was over, the offenders robbed the inmate of his store goods.
Hunt is charged with aggravated assault, unlawful acts of violence in a penal institution, and participation in criminal gang activity.
Woman charged in burglary at the high rise in Rome
A homeless woman is accused of breaking into and vandalizing the high rise on North Fifth Avenue late Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
65-year-old Deborah Gay Walk entered the building by breaking a door.
She then sprayed two fire extinguishers in multiple rooms.
Walk is charged with 2nd-degree burglary, 2nd-degree criminal damage to property, interference with government property, criminal trespass, and a probation violation.
Woman charged with terroristic threats and acts
A Rome woman was arrested early Tuesday at her Hunters Glen home after allegedly making a threat.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
25-year-old Macaleb Ann Burch threatened a crime of violence toward the victim by saying “When they leave, I’m going to snuff him.”
She is charged with terroristic threats and acts.
