A man told police that he got caught up in a shootout as he was walking on Clearvue Circle in North Rome Wednesday evening.

According to a Rome Police Department report:

The man told officers there were at least four males that jumped into a white Nissan passenger car and were shooting and he almost got shot.

A second man told police that his vehicle was struck during the shooting.

Another vehicle was damaged in the shooting with the tail light and rear windshield being struck.

Bullet holes were also spotted in the window and siding of a residence and multiple shell casings were located in a couple of yards and placed into evidence.
