The Rome City School Board will consider the installation of speed detection cameras in the West Central Elementary School zone on Lavender Drive when they meet on Tuesday evening.
This would be the third city school zone with cameras.
The others are in the Rome High/Rome Middle School zone on Veterans Memorial Highway and on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard at Main Elementary.
The county has speed detection cameras on Highway 27 North in the Armuchee Elementary School zone.
The school board meeting will be held at the Rome City Schools College and Career Academy on Veterans Memorial Highway.
The caucus starts at 4 p.m. with the regular meeting to follow at 5:45 p.m.
