Rome and Floyd County celebrated the completion of a major section of the trail system on Tuesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Mt. Berry Trail and AdventHealth Redmond ECO Greenway.
The final section to complete the loop was the Armuchee Connector, which linked the Emperor’s Stadium to Ridge Ferry Park, and to the Mount Berry portion behind the Rome Post Office.
Rome City Manager Sammy Rich expressed excitement regarding the competition of the trail loop.
Isaac Sendros, President and CEO of AdventHealth Redmond, also made a statement regarding their company’s support of the trail.
The total length of the trail loop is around eight miles.
