Woman charged with theft by taking a motor vehicle
A stolen vehicle lands a Calhoun woman behind bars.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
44-year-old Sharon Wheatley Carver took a 2005 Dodge Caravan from a location on Green Acre Road in Rome back on April 19.
She never returned the vehicle, valued at $1,500, and blocked all communications with the owner.
Carver is charged with felony theft by taking a motor vehicle.
Woman accused of using another’s financial transaction card to make purchases
A 58-year-old West Rome woman has been jailed on seven counts of financial transaction card fraud.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Catrina Denise McDearmont took possession of someone else’s mislaid card and then used it to make purchases online and in person.
She is also charged with a single count of financial transaction card theft.
