The Floyd County Board of Commissioners will hold a special called meeting on Tuesday to discuss the millage rate.

The meeting will start at 11:00 a.m. in the Caucus Room, Suite 204, of the Floyd County Administration building on East 4th Avenue.

The meeting is open to the public. 

The county is advertising a proposed increase of 0.75 mills in the property tax rate to address a $3.6 million budget deficit.

However, the commission could vote to adopt a lower rate.
