More than 100 Rome High School students have been recognized as Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars.
These students demonstrated amazing dedication to their classes, vigorous work during the school year, and a commitment to achievement.
Having 102 AP Scholars at Rome High is not only a testament to the student’s hard work but also the tireless efforts of the teachers and administration to foster a great learning environment, nurture intellectual growth, and prepare the students not only for these classes and tests but also for what they will tackle in college and beyond.
AP Scholars: 57
This honor is granted to students who receive scores of 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
Rome High School had 57 students earn this.
AP Scholar with Honors: 19
This honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams
taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams. Rome High School had 19 students earn this.
AP Scholar with Distinction: 26
This honor is granted to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams
taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. Rome High School had 26
students earn this.
AP Capstone Diploma: 2
The AP Capstone Diploma is granted to students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar
and AP Research and on 4 additional AP Exams of their choosing. Rome High School had two
students earn this.
AP Seminar and Research Certificate: 4
Students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar and AP Research but not on four additional AP Exams receive the AP Seminar and Research Certificate
“We are immensely proud of all of these students and the time and commitment they have put into their studies,” Rome High Principal Parke Wilkinson says. “This achievement is a testament to not only their hard work but the hard work of our teachers who are fostering a great learning environment at Rome High School,”
