Warrant: Man held gun to woman’s head

A North Rome man is accused of pulling a gun on a woman during a fight on Wilma Drive back on May 30.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

32-year-old Robert Jasper Wright Jr. bit the victim and held a gun to her head, threatening to shoot her.

Wright is charged with aggravated assault and a parole violation.

Report: Children witnessed assault in Lindale

A 40-year-old Lindale man was arrested over the weekend after he allegedly assaulted a woman in front of two juveniles at his Maple Road residence.

According to Floyd County jail records:

Christopher Adam Priebe choked and hit the woman.

He also threatened to kill her before forcing her to have sex.

Priebe is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, 1st-degree cruelty to children, and battery.

Man accused of assaulting another man with a wooden stick

A North Rome man is facing an aggravated assault charge following an incident at his Superba Avenue home early Monday.

According to Floyd County jail records:

58-year-old Curtis Albert Chambers assaulted a man with a wooden stick breaking the victim’s wrist.

Chambers is also being held without bond for a probation violation.

Teen accused of stealing vehicle, possessing stolen firearm

A Rome teen has been arrested on charges of theft by taking a motor vehicle, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, and theft by receiving stolen property.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

17-year-old Josiah Trevon Smith entered the victim’s vehicle, manipulated the ignition, and drove off.

Smith was also found with a stolen firearm.

Woman charged with damaging property and battery

A 30-year-old South Rome woman is facing charges of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property and battery following her arrest Sunday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Benita Michelle Hamilton broke a window and entered a Rome Housing Authority apartment on Dellvue Place.

She then punched a woman.

Woman accused of breaking phone at jail

A Rome woman initially arrested on King Bee Circle for possession of methamphetamine, criminal trespass, and obstruction of officers, is also accused of breaking a phone in the holding cell at the Floyd County Jail.

According to jail records:

38-year-old Brittany Renea Garrett also resisted jail officers, kicking one of them.

She is additionally charged with another misdemeanor count of obstruction and a felony count of interference with government property.

Report: Man caused over $500 in damage to vehicle

A Rome man is facing a felony count of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property following an incident Sunday at his Orlystes Drive home.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

28-year-old Ladarrius Lee Clemons kicked a vehicle, causing more than $500 in damage to the front passenger side quarter panel.

Woman charged with child cruelty

A West Rome woman was arrested Sunday after she allegedly hit a teenager in the face on Maryland Drive

According to Floyd County Jail records:

38-year-old Jennifer Marie Hudson struck the teen in front of a younger child.

The teen sustained a swollen eye.

Hudson is charged with 1st and 3rd-degree cruelty to children, battery, and public drunk.

Man charged with false imprisonment

A 56-year-old Aragon man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Sunday on charges of false imprisonment, simple assault, and battery.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Jeffrey Todd Vaughn held a woman against her will at his Harmony Road residence.

He also caused cuts on the victim’s hands and lip and spat in her face.

Report: Man pinned woman down on bed

A 52-year-old Rome man is facing charges of false imprisonment and possession of marijuana following his arrest at his Garrard Avenue apartment over the weekend.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Samuel Davis Baker held a woman down on a bed, pinning her arms down.

He was also found with less than an ounce of marijuana.

Woman accused of threatening police

A Rome woman was arrested early Sunday on Burnett Ferry Road on two counts of terroristic threats and acts.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

47-year-old Angela Sparks Robbins threatened police officers.

Robbins is also charged with DUI, pedestrian under the influence, public drunk, and disorderly conduct.

Woman facing drug charges

A Cedartown woman was arrested at a location on Maple Avenue over the weekend.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

36-year-old Lorie Agnes Jane Thacker was found with suspected methamphetamine and gabapentin as well as glass straws and marijuana in her purse.

She is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug-related objects, possession of drugs not in the original container, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.
