A 19-month-old child was killed in a private property accident on Pittman Road in Ranger on Sunday morning.

According to the Georgia State Patrol:

The driver of a Dodge Durango was pulling forward after unhooking a utility trailer and struck the little boy.

The driver notified emergency personnel and the toddler was transported to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation continues.
