Rome Police are investigating a reported armed robbery early Sunday morning at the South Side Mart on South Broad Street.
According to an incident report:
An individual dressed in black clothing with gloves, white shoes, and a face cover entered the store at around 4 a.m.
The subject was armed with a handgun and forced two employees to open the cash register.
The employees were then forced into the game room where two gaming machines were opened.
After getting the money, which was anywhere from $2,600 to $3,800, the suspect left the store, running toward McGee Street.
