Man charged with burglary, terroristic threats and acts
A 25-year-old Rome man has been arrested in connection with an incident on July 23 in which he allegedly entered an apartment and threatened to shoot and kill another person.
According to Floyd County Jail records and an arrest warrant:
Nycholas Tysean Strickland had previously been banned from the apartment complex on Dodd Boulevard.
As deputies were trying to arrest him in the area of East 20th Street on Monday, Strickland ran.
Once caught, he was found with suspected methamphetamine and a digital scale.
Strickland is charged with 1st-degree burglary, possession of meth, possession with the intent to distribute, terroristic threats and acts, obstruction of officers, and criminal trespass.
Report: Man stole gun, other items during burglary
A Rome man is facing charges of 1st-degree burglary, theft by taking, and loitering or prowling following his arrest Monday.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
35-year-old Ismael Pizano entered a residence on Shade Tree Lane and stole a pistol, an Apple watch, and shoes, valued at a combined $1,150.
Woman accused of stealing auto
A Lindale woman was arrested at her Davis Street residence Monday on a felony warrant charging her with theft by taking a motor vehicle.
According to the warrant:
38-year-old Jessica Renee Hand took the victim’s vehicle without permission back on August 3.
