On Wednesday, Rome Mayor Craig McDaniel was a guest on WRGA’s First News with Tony McIntosh. He discussed Tuesday’s Rome-Floyd County Joint Services Committee meeting and the issue of vagrancy and urban camping in the downtown area. McDaniel also talked about efforts to address homelessness and the possible hiring of someone to coordinate services that are available locally.

McDaniel also addressed the location of the new reverse osmosis water treatment facility. Some on the Rome City Commission oppose the proposed site on Riverside Parkway.
