Man accused of selling fentanyl

A Cedartown man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on multiple drug charges, including the sale of fentanyl.

According to the arrest warrants and jail records:

35-year-old Darious Sharod Parker sold a quantity of fentanyl to a cooperating witness at an undisclosed location in Floyd County between January 14 and January 20.

Prior to the sale, Parker communicated with the witness via cell phone.

Parker is charged with the possession, and sale of a Schedule II controlled substance, possession of a Schedule II controlled substance with the intent to distribute, and the use of a communications facility to commit a crime involving drugs.

Warrant: Woman rented U-Haul, failed to return it

A 31-year-old Cedartown woman is accused of renting a U-Haul and never returning it.

According to an arrest warrant:

Katherine Elizabeth Blevins rented the truck, valued at $32,000, on July 21 from the U-Haul on Shorter Avenue in Rome.

As of August 13, it had not been returned.

Blevins is charged with a felony count of theft by conversion.

Woman accused of using disabled person’s EBT card

A Rome woman has been arrested on charges of financial transaction card fraud, identity fraud, criminal receipt of fraudulently obtained goods, and exploitation of a disabled person.

According to an arrest warrant and Floyd County Jail records:

38-year-old Cinthia Marie Garrison used an EBT card belonging to a disabled person without permission to purchase $28.98 in merchandise at the Racetrack on Martha Berry Highway.

The alleged incident occurred on August 11.
