The Paulding community is preparing to gather in honor of Deputy Brandon Cunningham, who was killed in the line of duty last weekend.

In coordination with Deputy Cunningham’s family, both law enforcement and the public are invited to attend the funeral:

Public Visitation:

• Date: Friday, August 23, 2024
• Time: 10:00 A.M. – 1:30 P.M.
• Location: West Ridge Church, 3522 Hiram Acworth Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157

Funeral Service:

• Date: Friday, August 23, 2024
• Time: 2:00 P.M.
• Location: West Ridge Church, 3522 Hiram Acworth Hwy, Dallas, GA 30157

After the funeral service, law enforcement will escort Deputy Cunningham to his final resting place.

A private burial ceremony will follow for his family and members of the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office shared the details of the funeral along with this statement: “There will never be a perfect time, place, or venue to adequately memorialize the loss of our fallen hero, Deputy Brandon Cunningham. Our community has a heavy heart, and there is a need to come together, honor, reflect, and begin to heal.”
