Man accused of using false information during arrest
A Cedartown man has been charged with false statements and writings and giving a false name or date of birth to a law enforcement officer following his arrest over the weekend.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
29-year-old Dionicio Marino Chavez Vail gave false identification information and signed the print cards for that information during booking procedures at the jail.
He was initially arrested on Highway 27 South at Six-Mile for DUI, open container, speeding, and driving without a license.
Woman charged with meth possession during GSP road check
A Georgia State Patrol road check on North Avenue at Wolf Drive over the weekend resulted in the arrest of a Rome woman on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
28-year-old Kelsey Leighann McCain failed a field sobriety test.
A search of her vehicle turned up a container with methamphetamine inside.
McCain is charged with possession of meth and DUI.
Report: Woman had stolen license plate, methamphetamine
A Chickamauga woman was booked into the Floyd County Jail Sunday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, theft by receiving stolen property, and obstruction of officers.
According to jail records:
44-year-old Leena Bobbette Daniel was operating a vehicle with a stolen license plate on Redmond Circle.
She told the officer that someone else had been driving the vehicle.
Suspected meth was then found in Daniel’s pants pocket.
She was also charged with affixing a license plate to conceal the identity of a vehicle, driving with a suspended license, and driving without insurance.
