Man charged with terroristic threats, aggravated stalking

A 45-year-old West Rome man is accused of violating a conditional bond by threatening a woman.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Charles Robert Garrett threatened to kill the victim in the presence of a child.

Garrett is charged with felony counts of terroristic threats and acts and aggravated stalking as well as a misdemeanor count of 3rd-degree cruelty to children.

Woman accused of providing gun to a convicted felon

A Coosa woman has been arrested after allegedly providing a firearm to a man who is a convicted felon.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

39-year-old Lauren Christy Chavers also provided false statements to law enforcement officers in an attempt to impede the investigation.

She is charged with transferring a firearm to an individual other than the actual buyer, convicted felon or felony probationer, and obstruction of officers.

Meanwhile, 35-year-old Robert Jacob Mize, also of Coosa, is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and obstruction of officers.

According to the arrest warrant:

Mize possessed and discharged the pistol on August 14 at his residence on Alabama Highway.

Bremen woman arrested for meth possession

A 42-year-old Bremen woman was arrested during a traffic stop on Alabama Highway at the state line Tuesday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Pamela Sue Peavy had an arrest warrant and was in possession of methamphetamine.

She is charged with possession of meth and a probation violation.
