A request for a beer, wine, and liquor pouring license for Peachy Pub at 325 Broad Street will be back before the Rome Alcohol Control Commission Monday night.
The application was discussed during the ACC’s June meeting. However, the ACC was not satisfied with the applicant’s presentation.
The applicant returned in August, and again the ACC was not satisfied, citing a lack of new information.
They voted to table the matter until Monday’s meeting.
During the August meeting, Rome City Clerk Joe Smith commented on the location, which was most recently the site of Peaches.
Smith noted that there had been many pouring establishments at this location over the past 25 years–virtually all of whom struggled to meet Rome’s food-to-drink ratio.
The ACC will also consider a new beer pouring license at New China Buffet at 2529 Redmond Circle during Monday’s meeting, which begins at 5 p.m. at Rome City Hall.
