A Chattooga County man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Saturday morning near on Highway 114 near Ragland Road in Chattooga County.
According to the GSP:
At around 5:51 a.m., troopers were dispatched to the crash and were notified that a pedestrian had been transported to Atrium Floyd Medical Center in Rome with serious injuries.
The pedestrian identified as 27-year-old Austin Ryan Carnes of Lyerly was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Georgia State Patrol Post 38 in Rome is currently seeking information regarding the fatal hit-and-run.
