A 21-year-old man from Birchfield, Tennessee is accused of trying to influence a witness.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Tzvi Yehuda Strauss fabricated false allegations against a probation officer, which constituted an indirect threat to the officer’s employment.
Strauss made false statements during three separate interviews with three separate law enforcement officers in an effort to prevent the probation officer’s testimony in a probation revocation hearing.
Strauss is charged with influencing a witness, false statements and writings, and attempting to obstruct a witness from giving testimony.
