Thanksgiving Day Love Feast this Thursday

Volunteers are getting ready to serve up turkey, dressing, and all the fixings to anyone in need of a meal on Thanksgiving Day.

The 37th annual Thanksgiving Day Love Feast, coordinated by Rev. Terrell Shields and the Concerned Citizens of Rome and Floyd County, is Thursday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Rome Civic Center on Jackson Hill.

In addition to food, coats, and jackets will be available for those in need. Coat donations may be dropped off today at the civic center between 6 and 8 p.m.

Donations of desserts are accepted and may be dropped off after 6 p.m. as well.

Cooked turkeys can be delivered on Thanksgiving morning between 8 and 9 a.m.
