A man being sought by authorities is now in custody.
Over the weekend, the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office posted a lookout for 34-year-old Herbert Sebastian Shiflett of Silver Creek.
According to the arrest warrants and Floyd County Jail records:
Shiflett bit a man, causing a disfiguring injury, during an altercation on Maple Road in Lindale on November 23.
The day before, he destroyed the back windshield of a woman’s GMC Envoy and aggressively approached another woman while yelling at her on Gardener Drive in Rome.
That same day, he punched his girlfriend’s television during an argument at an apartment on Northridge Court.
Shiflett is charged with aggravated battery, simple assault, and criminal trespass with property damage, as well as a couple of felony probation violations.
