The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) has awarded a $1.85 million contract to F.S. Scarbrough, LLC to replace the Rehobeth Road bridge over Spring Creek in Floyd County.
The project is scheduled for completion by March 31, 2026.
A detour will be implemented during construction, with GDOT set to announce the detour start date once it is installed.
“It’s looking like 2025 is going to be a very busy year for us,” said GDOT District 6 Engineer Grant Waldrop, referring to the numerous construction and maintenance projects in the region.
