Man accused of harassing woman from prison

A 43-year-old West Rome is accused of harassing a woman while he was incarcerated.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Reginald E. Garrett contacted the victim by phone and video FaceTime while he was in prison and was under an order to have no contact with her.

He also sent the woman naked pictures of herself when he did not have permission to take, have, or distribute the photos.

Garrett is charged with aggravated stalking, use of a communications facility to commit a crime, possession of items prohibited for inmates, harassing communications, and distributing obscene materials.

Man accused of damaging apartment

A 19-year-old Silver Creek man is accused of breaking the front door off its hinges at an apartment on South Broad Street.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Brandon Lamar Gordon caused over $500 in property damage.

He is charged with a felony count of 2nd-degree criminal damage to property.

Report: Man kicked police officer

A West Rome man is facing a felony obstruction charge after he allegedly kicked a police officer on the inner thigh.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

68-year-old Terry Wayne Pierce Sr. also threatened to punch a law enforcement officer in the mouth several times while in a fighting stance.

Pierce was initially stopped by police on Shorter Avenue for operating a vehicle with no headlights or tail light.

He is also charged with terroristic threats and acts, DUI, and a headlight violation.

Man accused of threatening police

A Rome man was arrested at a location on Wilson Avenue after he allegedly punched a woman.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

59-year-old Alexander Albert Kennedy also stated he would kill the police officer while being placed under arrest.

Kennedy is charged with battery and terroristic threats and acts.
