On Tuesday afternoon, the City of Rome welcomed three representatives from Kumamoto, Japan—its sister city since 1995—to the Sam King Room at the Rome City Auditorium.
For nearly three decades, the sister city relationship has fostered cultural exchange, with students and elected officials traveling between Rome and Kumamoto to strengthen international ties.
The visit continues a long tradition of friendship between Rome and Kumamoto, highlighting the importance of global relationships at the local level.
