The election to fill the vacant Post Four seat on the Floyd County Commission appears to be headed to a runoff.
David Thornton (R) leads with 1,881 votes while Chip Hood (R) is second with 1,272 votes.
Shonna Bailey (D) is third with 1,151 votes, followed by Corey Townsend (R) with 326 and Tonya Eden Shepard (R) with 348 votes.
