Voters in Floyd County are casting ballots in a special election to fill the vacant Post Four seat on the Floyd County Commission.
Six candidates are running.
They are Shonna Bailey, Chip Hood, Tonya Eden Shepard, David Thornton, and Corey Townsend.
During early voting, 2,042 ballots were cast at the Floyd County Elections Center with another 48 mail-in ballots.
The polls are open from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m.
If a runoff is needed, that will be held on April 15.
