Man charged with terroristic threats and acts

A 35-year-old Silver Creek man has been arrested on a felony warrant charging him with terroristic threats and acts.

According to the warrant:

Cody Lee Barron threatened to kill a man on March 18.

Barron is also charged with two counts of misdemeanor obstruction after he ran from police on Bells Ferry Road.

Two charged with drug possession

A Cartersville woman and a Rome man are facing drug charges following a traffic stop for a brake light violation on West Main Street at Harper Avenue.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

20-year-old Taliah Dasonai Hayes and 20-year-old D’Marion Marke’t Grier were arrested after a search of the vehicle turned up psilocybin mushrooms, digital scales, and marijuana.

Hayes and Grier are charged with possession of a Schedule I controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

Grier is also charged with aggravated stalking for being in the vehicle with Hayes, violating a conditional bond ordering him to have no contact with her.
