Report: Man pointed a gun at another man

An East Rome man is facing a felony aggravated assault charge following his arrest Thursday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

30-year old Erian Carva Wiggins pulled out a firearm and aimed it at the victim at a location on East 14th Street and Spring Creek Street.

Man accused of offering drugs for sex

A 70-year-old Garden Lakes man has been arrested on charges of pandering and possession of methamphetamine.

According to Floyd County jail records:

John Bartney Furr solicited a woman for prostitution at a location on Cedartown Highway by offering her prescription pills and meth.

He also resisted arrest and pulled away from officers.

Furr is also charged with possession of meth with the intent to distribute and three counts of obstruction of law enforcement.

Man charged with theft by deception

A Gordon County man was booked into the Floyd County Jail on Thursday on a felony warrant charging him with theft by deception.

According to the warrant:

44-year old Shaun Michael Cole of Resaca took more than $25,000 from an Armuchee man for the purpose of restoring a 1967 Pontiac GTO, which he did not intend to perform and knew would not be performed.
