City of Rome street department crews were working on Shorter Avenue Monday morning.
A water leak caused the road to buckle between Williamson and Leon Streets.
Both eastbound lanes of Shorter in that area were closed, and signs were put up.
Motorists were directed to use the center turn lane.
Again, all lanes are now open again.
